TEXTURED FINGERSTRIPS FROM TBA ECP INCREASE SHIELDING EFFECTIVENESS AT HIGH FREQUENCIES - 26/03/2003

EMI shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced DiamondBack EMI/RFI shielding strips that provide up to 20dB improvement in attenuation at high frequencies compared with standard products.

The new DiamondBack shielding strips feature hundreds of raised dimples providing a smooth texture that enhances conductivity between the gasket and the mating surface. Non-abrasive, the DiamondBack texturing has no compression set and can be applied to most of TBA ECP's standard fingerstock profiles to deliver up to 20dB attenuation improvement at frequencies of 2.45GHz and above. This improvement is achieved without increasing compression force making it an ideal solution in low compression applications.

Offering superior longevity over plated fabrics, DiamondBack texturing can be applied on virtually every profile, mounting and finish option available in TBA ECP's extensive range of EMI/RFI beryllium copper fingerstock. These include standard and low compression types, soft finger and no-snag versions in track-mount, clip-on, stick-on, snap-on, hook-on and special mounting styles. A wide range of finishes is available encompassing clean and bright finish as standard and plating in gold, silver, tin lead, bright tin, bright nickel, zinc/clear chromate and electroless nickel.
