NEW STAINLESS STEEL GASKETS FROM TBA ECP - 13/07/2002

Shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced new stainless steel versions of its low-profile and pressure sensitive mounting gaskets that provide hard-wearing and long-lasting EMI/RFI shielding in a wide range of applications.

Complementing the company's extensive range of beryllium copper fingerstock, the new stainless steel gaskets extend the choice of materials available to design engineers.

Suitable for use in low closing force bidirectional applications, low-profile stainless steel shielding is attached with pressure sensitive adhesive. Four types are available in lengths up to 406mm, all featuring 360 Degree no-snag fingers. ECP 632 SS type provides 11.4 x 2.54mm wide fingers on 3.18mm pitch with 2.0mm profile height while ECP 636 SS type offers 15.2mm long fingers and 3.0mm profile height. ECP 632HO SS and ECP 636HO SS offer the same sizes respectively but feature hook-on mounting. Similarly attached with pressure sensitive adhesive on one side, the opposite side hooks over a flange to yield a self-locating and secure installation.

Pressure sensitive mounting stainless steel fingerstock is also available in four types. Ideal for panel mounting, these are available in lengths up to 610mm and mount with double adhesive transfer tape. ECP 0625 SS features 5.84 x 2.03mm fingers on 2.41mm pitch with profile height of just 0.76mm while ECP 0697 SS provides 8.64 x 3.81mm fingers on 4.19mm pitch with profile height of 1.78mm. Both these types are complemented by 90 Degree versions to complete TBA ECP's stainless steel fingerstock line-up.
