EMI shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has extended its range of soft fabric foam gaskets with the introduction of conductive EMI LCD cushions.
TBA ECP's new EMI LCD cushions complement the company's wide range of soft fabric foam gaskets that encompass EMI shielding gaskets comprising polyurethane foam combined with highly conductive fabrics and gold plated gaskets that deliver excellent shielding characteristics and superior flexibility.
Previous LCD cushions were made of rubber or polyurethane, which are non-conductive. The main function of these cushions was to protect the LCD by absorbing shock, but not to absorb electromagnetic waves or protect against static electricity. The new range comprises many combinations of foam, conductive paste and plated fabrics to give volume conductivity.
Attachment of conductive pressure sensitive adhesive on the rear of the cushion makes it easy to mount on any device. It can be processed or fabricated easily into various shapes.
TBA ECP's EMI LCD cushions are capable of absorbing the shock and do not leave any metal powder or fabric burr. They decrease the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) and stabilise internal circuits. They also improve the quality of transmission by eliminating noise. Most importantly, they provide good shielding effectiveness.
